Urban Design Framework Strengthens Regional Community

WAX Design's Warwick Keates and JPE’s David Gregory returned to Dysart, QLD, last week to present their Urban Design Framework (UDF) back to the community, Council and reference group. This was a great opportunity for the design team to present their findings and receive feedback as to whether they grasped the unique needs of the community, and town after the initial visit and planning for real consultation program.

The response was a positive one, with all three engagement sessions of the UDF consultation being well received by both Council and community. The key to success now is the implementation of the projects outlined in the UDF. Through a strategic and long term strategy for the town, enthusiasm is starting to build around the future of Dysart and its community. It will not be long before Dysart is once again on the path to becoming a resilient, adaptable and a thriving community.
